Why a board

A rigid base and a shelf-ready look

The board provides a rigid plane when the vacuum machine presses the film around the product. The board is covered with PET- or PP-based metallised film, so it does not get soggy in a humid environment and keeps its original look.

Does the board get soggy from fish juice?

No. The board is covered with metallised film and resists moisture. For products that release a lot of juice we recommend an absorbent pad — the juice goes into the absorbent layer.

Which colours are available?

Gold (several shades), silver, black, white pearl, a custom Pantone colour and printed boards.

Can you make a board of the size and shape I need?

Yes. In addition to popular sizes, we make boards in various sizes and configurations for your product.

Is the board suitable for skin packaging?

Yes, we make boards for SKINFRESH™ film.

Will the board work if there is a metal detector on the line?

Yes. Besides white pearl, we have a black non-metallised board — it does not trigger the metal detector. This way you keep metal control on the line and can still choose a dark board for presentation.
